LESSON 2 / 2 · Protect the system that records the work

Protect the system that records the work

Recognize interference and pressure to conceal activity.

Tampering interferes with required recording

ELD tampering includes interfering with required operation or altering or erasing data to conceal activity. Disconnecting equipment, logging out to hide driving, or using another driver’s identity can conceal work. The work still happened and must be recorded accurately.

Keep identity and activity accurate, preserve the request, and bring the issue to safety.
